SaaS, or Software as a Service
SaaS, or software as a service is another, next to IaaS and PaaS model of cloud computing. In this model, the client receives a specific application, operating in the cloud, without worrying about the installation process and aspects related to licensing.
Practically all examples of well-known apps or types of apps may be reflected in this model, such as e-mail clients, image editing applications, CRM's and billing programs.
SaaS. Yes, but for whom?
Organizations are increasingly turning to SaaS, as it is much more convenient and less expensive form of software acquisition than buying more licenses. For example, instead of paying for 100 licenses for any program, the company acquires software in a SaaS model, paying only a fraction of the standard price of the program and is billed monthly.
In Oktawave many applications can be installed using our intuitive applications market, where installation of the desired application or the operating system is limited to just a few clicks.
